Accountability

 The single-best way to keep track of assignments is by accessing the student Google Classroom to see recent assignments that have been posted online.

Not all assignments will be posted online, but if a student is absent; they should first check online for whatever they may have missed. Longer writing assignments will also be typed and submitted online.

 PowerSchool is the second best means for checking student progress; as I grade assignments I will update with either scores or 0's to indicate completion.

Grades may be entered on a period-by-period basis, if someone has received their grade and you have not; your grade will likely be updated soon.

Note: An ungraded assignment will show no score and therefore has not yet impacted the student's grade. A "0" (zero) in the score typically indicates the assignment is missing, although low-quality or incorrect assignments may also earn a zero.

Monthly Email Updates

I generally send an email each month detailing major events, assignments, and due dates. I try to address concerns and questions commonly raised by parents in the past to ensure everyone is on the same page. If you aren't getting these emails, make sure that both I and the school have your most current email address on file.
