The primary mission of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is "to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community." NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services, and more. NSBE is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the United States. NSBE aims to expand its mission and vision to as many countries as possible, thereby creating a global network of Black engineers, scientists, and technologists supporting each other and the cultures they impact.
From March 18th to 22nd 2026, The National Society of Black Engineers will be holding its 52st annual Convention in Baltimore, Merland. This year's convention will focus on building and strengthening the relationship between all demographics of NSBE.
