Specifically designed for townball play, our lemon-peel base ball is nine and seven-eighths of an inch in circumference, and five and seven-eights of an ounce in weight, according to the rules set out in 1860 by the National Association of Base Ball Players. We found just the right rubber to make the ball soft enough so that it doesn't hurt when you are "soaked" by it on the basepaths, and yet firm enough to hit it out of the park. This is the ideal game ball for twenty-first century townball or ninteenth century base ball alike.
