2019 open invitation Fresno June Townball Tournament
*IMPORTANT UPDATE (06/07/19): Due to the recent flooding in Fresno, all games this year will be at Vinland Park (Gettysburg and Woodrow).
On June 7th and 8th, 2019, we will be having our second annual Spring-season open invitation Twenty-First Century Townball tournament, again at the ponding basin on Ashlan and Barton (Ashlan and highway 168) in Fresno, California.
Like last year, there will be four teams: The Boston Red Caps, captained by Ryan "Rango" Waters; the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers, captained by Daniel "Pigpen" Jones; the Louisville Dark Grays, captained by Thomas "Tommy" Sanchez; and the New York Mutuals, captained by Mark "Popeye" Angeles.
Each team will play three games total. The team listed first bats first.
Round 1 (Friday)
6PM Field 1 Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers vs. New York Mutuals
6PM Field 2 Boston Red Caps vs. Louisville Dark Grays
Round 2 (Saturday)
9AM Field 1 New York Mutuals vs. Boston Red Caps
9AM Field 2 Louisville Dark Grays vs. Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers
Round 3 (Saturday)
6PM Field 1 Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers vs. Boston Red Caps
6PM Field 2 New York Mutuals vs. Louisville Dark Grays
The team with the best record at the end of the tournament wins.
In keeping with the tradition of ball-playing in the nineteenth century, registration will be free. No insurance is provided. Play at your own risk.
