During this formal education journey and now nearing my intended graduation date in December 2022 I have spent many hours reflecting on my experiences, challenges, and opportunities. This reflection has not been exclusive to recent experiences as part of the MPS OL graduate program but have extended into my earlier life, prior educational pursuits, and career decisions.
Reflecting upon my personal journey first and foremost I thank God and His Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ. Without their love, guidance, and support no success, achievement nor accomplishment would be possible.
Next I want to thank my husband Robert. While he may not understand my strong desire to pursue an advanced degree, when this pursuit was the most challenging - he was my loudest and most insistent cheerleader.
Thank you to my parents who in my youth taught me self-worth, perseverance, and that faith with hard work always precedes the miracle.
I would like to recognize and thank Dr. Jeni L. McRay. Her early advisement, teaching aptitude, and strong conceptual leadership knowledge provided a foundation for my success within the FHSU MPS OL graduate program.
Sincere appreciation to my student peers for providing quality feedback, unique insights and perspectives along with developmental experiences during this advanced degree quest.
Thank you to the professors who nominated me for Student of the Month in Leadership Studies for May 2021 and February 2022. Considering the quality of students competing for such recognition along with the expectations of the instructors in the courses I am humbled to receive this recognition.
Finally, I would like to express appreciation to Dr. Brent Goertzen and the graduate committee for their time and consideration of this ePortfolio as part of my application for graduation from the FHSU MPS OL program.
While my leadership journey will continue it would not have been as fruitful, personally challenging nor fulfilling without the many interactions and relationships developed along the way.
Thank you
