Policy Topics are a critical aspect of the Town Hall Meeting event. This choice determines the topic that you will research in class and what kind of people you will work with during the event. It may be helpful if you choose a problem that interests you or that you have personal experience with. 

This is your first opportunity to dig in to your policy topic. You'll be utilizing both your own research and course concepts to identify a policy problem that the government should address.

This assignment is designed for you to prepare talking points to help you participate in discussions at THM. 

You'll be working with peers who are also researching the same topic and professionals in the field so it's important that your talking points are clear, evidence-based arguments about both your policy problem and your proposed solution. 

At the event, you'll receive a THM Worksheet, which you will complete throughout the event. 

Don't forget to submit the worksheet before the end of the event in order to earn credit! 

After the Town Hall Meeting, it's time to connect all of the work you've done in class to the discussions you participated in at the event.
