Purpose
Here at the CFCC Esports Club, we have three main goals we strive to accomplish.
1) Foster student engagement on campus.
2) Provide an outlet for video game growth.
3) Create some level of friendly competition.
What We've Done
Although we're still a pretty new club here at Cape Fear, we have been active. Playing lots of games, full of highlight clips and building interesting worlds. The Discord server has members chatting about various video games and coordinating let's plays. Our members do other things too, like arts and crafts (usually related to gaming), streaming video games and music they DJ on Twitch channels, and more!

How Our Community Grows and Cooperates
Our Discord server is the most common way that most of our members use to communicate with each other. Everything from arranging times to play games together, showcasing a game that you're currently playing through, or just posting some memes, it can be used for nearly everything.
There are currently over 200 members who have sent over 18,000 messages. In addition to broad purpose channels like highlights and introductions, we have over a dozen dedicated channels for specific games in a variety of competitive genres, from shooters like Call of Duty, Halo, and Rainbow Six to other types like Smash Bros and Rocket League, and even some more casual games like Jackbox and Minecraft to help build community.
