Approach & Values
My teaching philosophy & practices are rooted in the following beliefs:
Everyone deserves the right to an education
Learning is a collaborative process and happens in many different ways
The classroom is a space that holds structure for us to dialogue, share experiences, build collective knowledge and work together towards a more just & equitable future
The classroom should be a space of transformation & healing
The communities of which we all come from hold unique knowledge that is crucial to our collective learning
About Me
I teach in the Health Education Department at City College of San Francisco (http://www.ccsf.edu/healthed) and I also work with the Metro Transfer Program supporting students who have an interest in transferring after CCSF and who could benefit from additional support.
I have been teaching at CCSF since 2015 and have taught the following courses:

My work in and out of the classroom has centered on education equity and health justice for marginalized communities. I also teach Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies and support the development of Pacific Studies programming in educational spaces through out the Bay Area.
