HLTH 221 Health and Social Justice

Summer 2023

Course Information

In this course we will explore the role that social injustices play as a root cause of health inequities. We take a close look at current issues, the uneven distribution of sickness (defined broadly) as a result of those issues, how people have resisted through these inequities to protect health and also envision what it will take to create more just societies and healthy communities. These conversations are timely and necessary for our current context and state of the world.
