Course Information

Course Description

Advanced course designed to develop student awareness of their own ideological framework and writing style, and strengthen their writing, editing, and critical thinking skills in response to multicultural literature in preparation for college English courses. .

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

1. Assess the use of literary devices in literature.

2. Compare how works of literature from different cultures and historical periods address similar themes and topics.

3. Create expository essays that make a claim and support it with textual evidence.
