Course Information


A high school English course in which students interpret, analyze, and respond to contemporary American fiction and nonfiction texts.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  1. Analyze how rhetorical devices affect authors’ messages.

  2. Analyze how cultural context influences authors’ messages.

  3. Implement writing strategies to produce argumentative analytical essays following Modern Language Association (MLA) standards..

Class meets Monday and Wednesday from 7:10 PM to via Zoom Conferencing.
