Course Information

In this course, students will discuss career, social, and academic topics. They will read narrative and informational texts and write clearly organized paragraphs. 

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

1. Identify main ideas and key details in a range of adapted spoken English texts on familiar and some unfamiliar topics.

2. Communicate orally in discussions, using a range of low-intermediate English language structures and forms.

3. Identify main ideas and key details in a range of adapted written English texts on familiar and some unfamiliar topics.

4. Write short, organized paragraphs with relevant ideas and details, using a range of low-intermediate English language structures and forms.

5. Work effectively in a diverse cultural environment at a low intermediate English level.
