DELIVERY MODE
This course is offered every semester on Tuesday nights 6:10-10 PM. There is a brief introduction of the topics covered in the chapter scheduled for each week. Following the lecture, the students will take a short quiz on the topics covered the week before. The remainder of the session is spent working on the weekly CAD exercises.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) hardware and software operations and their applications in drafting; basic shape description, display, editing, dimensioning and plotting.
It provides Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) skills for students interested in pursuing modern design and drafting entry-level positions in engineering and architectural firms. This course is required for the Certificate of Accomplishment in Computer Aided Drafting, the Certificate of Accomplishment in Computer Aided Design - Architecture, and the Associate in Science for Mechanical Engineering Technology.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
This class meets every Tuesday night in each semester per published instructional calendar.
The add codes for this course will be given to those who show up the first session to the lab. The add codes will work on the first day of the class.
There will be a Midterm exam half way through the semester and a Final exam on the last day. There is a required course project due on the last day..
