Music 25 Playlists

Each playlist below contains several songs that coincide with the order of musical styles we cover for each unit (or Canvas module). The task is to listen to approximately one hour of music each week and keep a journal of your reflections on these songs, as well as any videos you watch from our YouTube channel. Be sure to focus on music from the specific country we are studying each week! Identify instruments, musical characteristics, and other aspects you notice as best as you can. At the mid-term and at the end of the semester, you will summarize these weekly reflections in a typed, two-page summary You will turn in two (2) journal summaries: one at the mid-term and one on the last day of class. You should have at least 14 hours of listening for the semester (7 hours by mid-term and 7 for the second half). Track your hours in your journal and indicate the total time you spent each week, then indicate the total time on each journal summary you turn in.
