Matt Pevey

Anthropology Instructor

Welcome to Spring 2024!

Thank you for taking interest in the courses I teach this semester. As your professor, I am looking forward to diving into the world of anthropology and working together to make our class experience memorable and purposeful. My personal goal is for you to leave my class with practical skills to ensure your success in your future academic (and non-academic) pursuits.

I hope you are as excited as I am! Get ready for both stimulating and challenging courses centered on the holistic, comparative study of culture and embracing the diversity of our human family.

I believe that education should always be engaging and open; communication is absolutely key. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about current and/or future courses. Also, if you have questions of how to add a class, being on a waitlist, how to request a letter of recommendation, etc., please visit my "Additional Instructor Policies" page.

Cheers!

Current Bookworm Goodies:

Every semester I try to read at least one book that I am not really teaching from. Of course, this doesn't always happen.

Throughout the semesters, I've ran across some really interesting reads. Many students have also made suggestions that have been fantastic.

If one of these texts to the left interests you, reach out! I am happy to help make more suggestions.
