Course Information

ART 139 LIVE MODEL CHARACTER ILLUSTRATION ( hybrid course)

Develop unique character designs, engage in figurative storytelling, and work from live models as well as photographic resources. Focus on portraiture and facial expressions, dynamic gesture, and prolonged studies of models in costumes and theatrical settings with props using a variety of painting and drawing techniques in color media.

Important Dates

ART 139 is a hybrid class and meets 52.5 hours face-to-face for regular drawing sessions, photo shoots, group critiques, instructor demos and feedback, for 3 hours per week for a 17.5 weeks semester every TUESDAY from 12:10pm-3pm in Creative Arts bldg., room A101. For the online part of the class student should expect to spend 3 hours per week working with online materials, total of 52.5 hours, for a 17.5 weeks semester.
