STUDENTS
In this unit, students will explore how language is used as a tool of power and control through a close reading of Animal Farm. By analyzing character development, setting, and plot progression, students will examine how persuasive techniques and propaganda influence group dynamics and shape societal structures. Lessons will guide students through rhetorical analysis, critical evaluation of character motivations, and the construction of visual timelines to track cause and effect. Through this study, students will develop a deeper understanding of how literature reflects political realities and how power is maintained or challenged through language and leadership.
