The district is turning on Google Guardian Email Summaries. This will communicate your google classroom announcements, assignments, class questions and missing assignments to parents at a frequency that they control. What you need to know:
When guardians join Classroom, they receive regular, automatic email summaries for each of their students. Guardians choose the frequency of the emails—daily or weekly—and can unsubscribe at any time.
Guardian email summaries include:
Missing work—Work that is late at the time the email is generated is marked "missing". It is crucial that you only put due dates on assignments or posts that you intend on collecting by a certain date.
Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
This feature is OPTIONAL and turned on/off by you (Directions below)
