Marine Science Communication, Education & Outreach
Marine Science Communication, Education & Outreach
As you can see in my scientific porfolio, I am a marine scientist with a PhD in marine biodiversity, specialising in corals and other marine invertebrates. My scientific research has focused on their diversity, taxonomy, systematics, ecology, and roles within marine ecosystems, combining approaches such as molecular techniques, trophic ecology, and fieldwork.
In recent years, I have also expanded my professional experience into marine science education, science communication, and public outreach, connecting my scientific background with education, environmental awareness, and marine conservation. I am particularly interested in bridging the gap between scientific research and society by finding creative and engaging ways to make marine science accessible and relevant to diverse audiences.
My experience in marine science education and outreach includes developing educational resources, designing learning activities, delivering workshops and talks, writing science communication articles, and contributing to environmental education projects. I have worked with diverse audiences, from students and teachers to marine professionals and the general public, covering topics such as marine biodiversity, coral identification, marine protected areas, and ocean conservation.
