What does a School Counselor do?

The school counselor's role is to support students in their academic, personal and social growth.  We love working with students and brainstorming ways they can best meet their potential and succeed in each of these areas.

Our goal as school counselors is to connect with students.  We love to find out what motivates students, what excites them and what challenges we can work together to overcome. By getting to know each student, we can better support them at school.

School counselors provide individual counseling, small groups and classroom lessons to address various topics. School counselors also work closely with classroom teachers and families to create open lines of communication and plans for success for every student.
