Lunch/Recess/RAFT Signup
If you are new to Magellan and/or you have not volunteered before, you are required to attend one of the new volunteer training sessions that will take place on August 13 at 9-10:30 a.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. Please remember that you are required to volunteer for lunch/recess supervision at least once a month per child. This is in the contract you signed when enrolling your student at Magellan. We also ask that you cover at least one RAFT each semester if you are able to do so.
- Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled slot to allow time to check in at the front office.
- We ask that cell phones are not used by parent volunteers while supervising students. If you have an emergency where you need to use your phone, please let one of the recess coordinators know, and we will be happy to cover while you step away.
- Recess is outside unless inclement weather occurs. Please plan accordingly.
- If unable to make your scheduled sign-up, it is important for the safety of the students to find a replacement for that time slot. The “swap” feature will be active on Sign-up Genius.
Signups:
If you also have a child in elementary school, hang tight—those signups are coming soon! Not everyone has received their homeroom assignment yet, and in 3rd–5th grade we sign up by homeroom teacher. The elementary signups should be ready to send out in the next couple of days.
Ms. Bass assists in classrooms all morning, so she does not always have access to email if there is a last minute cancellation. If you’re running late or have an emergency that requires a last minute cancellation, please call the main office as soon as possible: 919-844-0277
*Please remember that we rely on families to volunteer for Fitness/Lunch/Recess Supervision 1x a month per child. This relieves our teachers, so they may have their lunch and planning time. Your support and active participation is a huge part of what makes Magellan the BEST school. Thank you for your commitment!
Infinite Campus Parent Portal 2026-2027 Forms
We have consolidated our required beginning of year forms into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Action requested: Each family should log-in to their Infinite Campus Parent Portal to complete the following for each student:
Verify and/or update household and student information
Review and sign Technology Policy Agreements
Review and acknowledge Student Handbook
My Hot Lunch Box
My Hot Lunch Box is open for ordering! Delivery will begin August 17th with Marco's Pizza on Mondays, Chick Fil-A on Wednesdays, and Jason's Deli on Fridays. If you choose to order lunch, you must create or update your student profile. Third and fourth grade codes to link your student to the appropriate classroom are below (all others just indicate grade level when ordering). Orders must be placed (or cancelled) no later than 12pm the day before delivery.
