Important Audition Dates & Events
Pre-Audition Meeting: * POSTPONED to Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00pm at Maeser in Room 150
Both the dancer and the parent/guardian should attend this meeting. Auditioning students and parents/guardians will be held responsible for the information shared at the meeting, which will include program philosophy, financial commitment, schedules, expectations, and audition format.
Audition Workshop: Friday, May 15th from 1:00-4:00pm in the Maeser Gym
Check-in begins at 12:30. Dancers should arrive early to warm themselves up and be ready to dance at 1:00pm.
Dancers must attend the audition workshops in order to learn the required audition sequences. They should be prepared with: movement attire (no midriffs showing), shoes for hip hop, and a water bottle. Most of the audition will be done barefoot, but the hip hop sequence will be best done in shoes. They will learn combinations in contemporary, jazz, hiphop, and modern.
Auditions: Saturday, May 16th from 1:00-4:00pm in the Maeser Gym
The audition itself will take place in small groups on Saturday afternoon. Dancers will have time to check-in and warm-up, and then will rotate through auditioning each sequence. Dancers should also come prepared with a 30-second self-choreographed solo in a style of their choice. Dancers stay until the end of the audition.
Casting Notice
All auditioning dancers will receive an email by the following Wednesday night with the results of their audition. The 2026-2027 Company list will be posted publicly on Monday, May 25.
