Chess Club

The Westview Chess Club is open to all students. You do not need to know how to play chess to join. The club’s focus is on having fun playing chess, while learning basic tactics and cultural aspects of the sport around the world. The goal is to have fun, hang out with friends, and meet new people who also enjoy playing chess. This club is a separate group from the Chess Team, which is a smaller competitive team that competes against other schools in the winter.  While students may do both the club and team, this club is great for students who wish to learn chess or just enjoy the game for fun but may not want to compete against other schools.

Meeting Time: 2:30-4:00
