Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions? We have answers!

Is there homework for Art, PE, Music or Coding

  • Answer: There's plenty of opportunities to practice any of the skills learned in the Special Areas classes! Sometimes there is a practice or activity log the student must complete, or an art project to complete at home.

What is the recommended amount of time to be physically active outside?

  • Answer: The recommended amount is 60 minutes a day.

I have an old instrument I don't play anymore. Do you accept donations?

  • Answer: YES! The Music Room is looking for any and all instruments; from guitars to keyboards and drum sets. Visit the Front Office to fill out a donations form so you can be recognized by the District for your generous act of kindness!

You're coding with the Kinders, First Grade, and Second Grade students??? Is that possible?

  • Answer: YES! Coding at this age will help with computational thinking, problem solving skills, working collaboratively on a team, and is very, very cool! K-2 CAN TOO!

Are there other opportunities to support the Art program?

  • Answer: YES! The Art Room will communicate any projects or special events that will need parent volunteers throughout the year, and the Madison Education Foundation is an excellent group that supports the arts in our district through various programs, like Art Masterpiece, the Madison Bash, and the Gala!
