7th & 8th Humanities
Phoenix, AZ has been my home most of my life. I attended Rose Lane and #1, North High School, and earned my degree from ASU. I have been teaching at Meadows for 10 years (long enough to establish urban legends about “the shovel”), and am honored to call myself the President of the Madison District Classroom Teachers Association. When I am not talking people’s ears off about history and politics, I am probably watching baseball or ghost shows, listening to classic rock, or thinking very seriously about exercising
IB Project Design & Band
Welcome to Meadows! I am an Arizona native that attended Simis and Meadows. Early in my education, I made it a long-term career goal to teach within the Madison District one day. During my college career, I earned an Associate's in General Arts, continued on to earn a second Associate's in Culinary Arts, which led me to NAU where I earned my Bachelor's in General and Special Education. I consider myself to be a “jack-of-all-trades” and willing to try my hand at most anything. My husband Joe and I have two daughters, Addy and Effie. When we are all off of work, the four of us enjoy playing music together, water skiing, hiking, camping, and working in our garden. This year, one of my favorite things to grow is sunflowers and pumpkins. Our next learning goal as a family is to become beekeepers to help pollinate our garden!

I am so excited to be joining Madison School District! I just moved to Phoenix from Fort Worth, TX and I already feel at home here at Meadows.
This is my 6th year teaching middle school math. I attended the University of Missouri where I received by B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education and my M.Ed. in Learning, Teaching, & Curriculum.
In my personal life, I enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors (best part about moving to AZ)!

This school year, I will be starting my 6th year in education and second year at Meadows. I am a physical education teacher and the school's athletic director.
I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where I received my B.A. in History Education and my M.Ed. in Sports Management while playing and coaching football. Last April, I decided to go back to school to obtain a Masters Degree in Educational Administration so that one day I can either be a campus principal or district wide athletic director.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our daughter, and our dog by exploring Arizona through a variety of outdoor activities as well as watching sports.

This school year I will be teaching both 7th and 8th grade science. This will be my fourth year teaching and my first year at Meadows. I am brand new to Phoenix and in my free time I enjoy exploring the city, reading and spending time at the dog park with my two pups Mabel (pictured left) and Charlotte! I love to travel to Kansas City and Texas where my family is but am really excited to call Arizona home.
7th and 8th Language and Literature and Resource
Hello Families!
Years ago, I applied at Madison School District, and I was fortunate to get a job as a paraeducator at Simis, then transferred to Meadows in the Self-contained ED program. With great mentors and staff; I earned my Bachelor of Science from Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education and Special Education. After working for Phoenix Elementary #1, I had the opportunity to join Meadows again. This is my second year as a teacher here, fifth year teaching and I am exactly where I am supposed to be. Along with the wonderful students that I am gifted, I am able to work with an amazing set of teachers, and leaders!
Madison Meadows is the place to be!!
This is my first year teaching at Meadows. I'm originally from Kansas but call Arizona home now. I received my B.A. from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX). I received my Master's from Full Sail University (Winter Park, FL).
When it is not sizzling hot, I like to take my dog (Max) hiking and to the dog park. I enjoy reading and, of course, technology.

I am looking forward to an AWESOME school year! This will be my third years at Meadows and my sixth year teaching. I was born and raised in Phoenix. I can't wait to be teaching two of my passions this year: Science and American Sign Language! I also enjoy cooking, reading, spending time with any of my five sisters, friends, and husband! I also love to travel; seeing the world, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures was a goal of mine since middle school.
Can't wait to meet all my students!
8th Advanced Math, 8th Math, Dance
Welcome to Meadows! I grew up here in the valley graduating from Dobson High School and ASU with a BAE in Elementary Ed. At ASU I met my then Air Force Cadet and future husband, Marc. After four daughters, three overseas tours and twenty five years of Air Force life we found ourselves retiring back in Arizona. With all the daughters grown and my husband pursuing his next job as an airline pilot I decided to go back to my love, teaching. At Meadows I get to share some of my passions by teaching math and dance, plus coaching cheer and cross country. I also enjoy traveling, reading, hiking and cooking! Can't wait to tell you why MATH ROCKS!

I hail from Tucson, and prior to that I lived in Guatemala working in the Peace Corps Youth in Development program. My family lives in Atlanta and I frequently make the trip to hang out with my niece and nephew. I enjoy teaching language acquisition because we've already proven we can acquire language (with our native language), so we just have to recreate that process. ¡Ciao!
