This month in Agriculture, students have been working hard in their student garden plots. Students prepared their plots by weeding, aerating the soil and adding WBNS paper towel compost. Each student chose a variety of early maturing seeds and plant starts to plant in their garden. As we continue through the rest of the school year, students will be responsible for maintaining and harvesting from their garden plot, so be on the lookout for fresh veggies from your kiddo's school garden! ~ Ms. Cass
In Middle School Agriculture, students play a big part in helping to plant and maintain the school gardens as well as their own garden. In addition to all of that hard work, they also help with the big Plant Sale (coming up this weekend!!!) by planting and labeling the plants that will be sold. They also help to make signage and value-added farm products. This event is one of our biggest fundraisers, so these kiddos can truly say that they play a role in keeping their school running!
