Part of the AVID elective class is maintaining an organized and updated planner. 8th Grade AVID students also set weekly goals in their planners.
UW Platteville Field Trip
UW Platteville Field Trip
8th Grade AVID students visited UW-Platteville on Tuesday, November 5th 2019. Students reflected on their experiences in middle school and then learned about the college experience at UW-Platteville. Highlights of the visit included community-building games, a campus tour, and lunch in the cafeteria. We are hoping to resume in-person college field trips again soon!
Tutorials
Tutorials
Students in the 8th grade AVID elective class will participate in AVID tutorials later this year. Before each tutorial, students complete the front side of this Tutorial Response Form (TRF). During a tutorial, one student presents their initial question and how they started to solve it. The other students and an AVID tutor then ask questions to the presenter to help move them closer to being able to answer their question.

Students check Infinite Campus for missing work in AVID. They also create a plan for when they will complete each assignment!
