I have worked for MSHS for 15 years and has taught dual enrollment classes in English for 5 years. The classes I teach are English 1a, Reading and Composition and English 3, Critical Thinking.
All writing is a social act. Together we will explore how our writing is shaped by and shapes multiple worlds around us. In this class, we will read, analyze, and compose college-level prose. We will study writing as a process; explore different composing structures and strategies; edit and revise writing; and conduct research (gather, organize, evaluate, integrate, and document information), culminating in a term research paper and annotated bibliography. We will write a minimum of 6,000 words in formal academic language.
