Our amazing K-5 students have begun the school year with low competition, back to school Cooperative games. Some games we have played have been parachute games, "Red Fish/Blue Fish", musical hoops, various versions of tag and so much more. It sure has been hot! We are doing our best to stay in shaded areas in the grove. Coming up next we will begin some of our introduction to sports units. Students will learn and engage in the lead up and gameplay in sports such as soccer, cross country and frisbee to name a few. I'm looking forward to it all!
6th-8th GRADE:
Our Middle School students are off to a great start in Physical Education! We started the year with some cooperative games. We engaged in "The Warm Wind Blows", ropes course challenges, kickball and capture the flag. We've had to to be midful of the heat, keeping to the shade in the grove. Coming up after the camping trip, students will begin our fall PE units. These units will feature soccer, ultimate frisbee and fitness. Students in my elective will design their own fitness plan and then work on it in class! I'm looking forward to working with this group of student athletes this fall!
