Our best advice is to get to know your department specific administrative support team; start with the administrative assistant. They are the most important people to call on for day-to-day needs and are a wealth of information. They will help you with all office administration including printing, room booking, office space, office telephone information, ordering business cards, etcetera. There may be other administrative team members, such as lab managers, financial analysts who can also provide assistance.
