CDE - Career Development Event LDE - Leadership Development Event

CDEs and LDEs are contests through the FFA where students compete against others in the region, state, and even nation on specific topics related to agriculture or personal growth. Some events are team events while others are individual events. The focus of each contest is unique and ranges from learning about job interviews to judging crops and from giving speeches to identifying animals.
