Macalester sent 10 delegates to the United Nations 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai in 2023.  Our blog shares our impressions, observations, and research projects across Week 1 and Week 2 of the summit.  

Week 1 delegates: Francesca LoPresti, Maggie Mazer, Camellia Schwartzman and Jesse Terry. They were accompanied by Prof. Roopali Phadke of the Environmental Studies Department. 

Week 2 delegates: Georgia Barnes, Kaleb Getu Gezaheg, Joe Harrington, and Sophia Norha. They were accompanied by Prof. Louisa Bradtmiller of the Environmental Studies Department. Macalester student Ramier Villarama was also at COP28 as a delegate representing Climate Generation.
