CGH Senior Seminar

Independent Research and Civic Engagement Projects

Spring 2022

Welcome to the Community and Global Health (CGH) Senior Seminar showcase for 2022. The graduating seniors in Macalester's Community and Global Health concentration explored a wide range of opportunities, from vaccine research sponsored by the Gates Foundation to evaluating community health needs at the Family Tree Clinic. Around the world -- from the Twin Cities to Guatemala, Ecuador, Senegal, and Denmark -- CGH students expanded their education and made an impact, even on the front lines against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although the pandemic led to many disruptions and dislocations, our students persevered to develop and enact their visions of a healthy and just society. Please check out all these exciting internship, research, and study away experiences from the CGH class of 2022!

Sincerely, the co-Directors of Community and Global Health,

Eric D. Carter, Professor, Geography and

Vittorio Addona, Professor, Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science
