FALL SEMESTER

September 21 Capstone download: required lunch meeting for seniors during Biology Seminar

September 29       Proposed topic and presentation format (talk or poster) DUE (via Google form)

We will let you know which faculty/staff member will advise your capstone presentation before October Break, and you will meet with them at least once before the semester ends.

December grads will present before the end of the semester; the chair of the Biology Department will be in touch to make arrangements.

SPRING SEMESTER

January 25    Capstone check-in: required lunch meeting for seniors during Biology Seminar

February 9           Draft presentation DUE: share the current version of your slides or poster with your capstone advisor

Capstone advisors will organize peer review sessions before the end of February.

March 8        Revised presentation DUE plus abstract, “all about me” paragraph, and casual photo to share on our capstones website

Capstone advisors will provide feedback on revised work before your presentation date.

March 21 First week of capstone presentations: Thursday from 11:30-1:00 - talks in OlRi 250 - no posters this week!

March 28 Capstone presentations: Thursday from 11:30-1:00 - talks in OlRi 250 and posters in Smail 12:00-1:00!

April 4 Capstone presentations: Thursday from 11:30-1:00 - talks in OlRi 250 and posters in Smail 12:00-1:00!

April 11 Final week of capstone presentations (talks Thursday from 11:30-1:00 in OlRi 250 and posters in Smail 12:00-1:00!) + Biology Senior Dinner!

If you are completing an honors thesis, you will give your presentation outside of Biology Seminar time at a date and time chosen in consultation with your thesis committee.
