My name is Lexi, and I am a senior at Marin Academy in San Rafael, CA. I have loved science since I was in elementary school, and the Marin Academy Research Collaborative (MARC) program has given me a chance to pursue a science research topic of my choosing. I have always been interested in the brain and how motor memories are formed, and MARC was a great opportunity to explore this interest. I hope to do research on Parkinson's disease because it affects millions of people, and there is no cure.Â
Outside of MARC, I love to do math and work with kids. I am one of six siblings and enjoy spending time with my family. In my free time, I tutor middle schoolers at Mathnasium, and during the summer, I work at a summer camp at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. I also play high school and club soccer year-round. During the winter, I love to ski!
