During this online day, teachers are available from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Each class period is self-contained, and students should complete work during the scheduled class time. Please contact your teacher during their scheduled class time if you need help.

Good morning, Grade 8s! Today, we will continue our research writing unit learning...online!

Our Google Meet link will be posted at 10:20 a.m. and our Google meet will begin at 10:30 a.m. 

To make sure we're all ready on time, at around 10:20-10:25, please:

1) Sign in your school email account on Google.

2) Use the Google link to open the Google Meeting.

3) MUTE YOUR MIC, but make sure the volume on your device is up so you can hear your teacher.

4) Please make sure your video is ON. I want to see your happy faces! 

4) You will have 30 seconds to pick a fun background. Then that will be "locked in" for the duration of our class together.

5) Mrs. Payk will teach a lesson on how to introduce the research in your essay by using something called a signal phrase. Throughout the lesson, there will be two short exercises for you to complete in Google Classroom.
