Menopause
Menopause is when periods stop permanently. This usually happens when a woman is in her forties or fifties, and the average age in the U.S. is 51. It is officially diagnosed after there has been no period, vaginal bleeding or spotting for twelve months. Menopause has many symptoms including hot flashes, and low energy.
Periods
The period is the beginning of the menstrual cycle. It is when your body sheds its uteran lining. This cycle is your body's way of preparing for a possible pregnancy. A typical cycle last for between 24 and 38 days.
PMS
PMS stands for Premenstrual Syndrome. There are a wide variety of symtoms ranging from fatigue to food cravings. It has been estimated that three out of every four women has experienced some for of PMS in their life. PMS symptoms tend to be very repetitive, and they can range in intensity. There are many different treatment and lifestyle changes that can help to manage PMS symptoms.
