Last year's John P. Seamster Golf Tournament saw much better weather, a little better golf, and we were able to raise over $30,000 towards our players' ATTIRE, GEAR, and EQUIPMENT!
During that same week, we were also able to raise over $18,000 through last year's Champions Week of Giving campaign and another $17,831 on Lynchburg's Give Day 2025 in one single day in April. There was such great energy around all three great events, and we had so many wonderful people give back to our program and players!
The money raised during last year's Champion's Week & Give Day went towards our overall Player Development, Player Experience, and some new Red Uniform Tops that we broke out during the 2025 season!
We were also fortunate to celebrate two championships in those new threads as well!

ANNUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Developing players to their fullest potential has always been a priority for our baseball program, and the overwhelming support from our alumni and donors make this a possibility each and every year.
Your support allows us to provide our student-athletes with an incredible Championship Experience and Unparalleled Assistance towards their baseball development and performance.
In order to give our players a competitive advantage in their PREPARATION and PERFORMANCE, we are currently investing over $20,000 annually towards Player Development Tools / Platforms and Top Non-Conference NPI Scheduling / Trips to put our program in the best possible position to compete nationally.
None of this would be possible without your generous support, and our program is looking for DONORS and/or GROUPS OF DONORS that could potentially help in some of the areas below on an Annual Basis.

Our program installed a Spiideo High Resolution CF Camera prior to the 2023 season, which allowed for In-Game Video Recording, Cloud Storage, and Video Upload to our Synergy Platform.
This camera has been instrumental in our continued in-season development, as well as advanced scouting reports on opponents.
The annual cost includes continued cloud storage of game / practices and refreshed allotted recording hours.
In the future we hope to add more cameras in order to provide multiple in-game angles.

Synergy is an online platform that gives our players and coaches Instant Access to our In-Game Footage and Stats.
Synergy cuts uploaded video into 3-8 second clips for easy viewing and breaks down all sortable metrics.
This allows for the elevated player growth and Advanced Scouting of Opponents, which has proven to be a huge ingredient in our success during the last three seasons.
This annual cost includes access to current and past seasons, and the ability to game games turned around in 24-48 hours.

Rapsodo Baseball provides our pitchers with valuable Insight into their Pitching Metrics and Arsenal.
With two Rapsodo Units, we are able to collect data on all pitches thrown during bullpens and intrasquads simultaneously.
Rapsodo also assists our hitters by supplying daily data in regards to Ball Flight, Exit Velocity and Distance, recorded during cage work and on-field BP.
This annual cost includes access to current and past data, and in-depth analysis of all pitching and hitting metrics stored in their cloud.

Blast Motion Technology allows for our coaches to measure and analyze our players’ swings during practices and games through sensors attached to the knob of their bats.
Blast combines Pre-Impact and Post-Impact Swing Metrics and Real-time Hitting Insights.
Swing visualizations help our hitters understand the relationship between cause and effect for a good and bad swing.
The annual cost includes multiple hitter profiles, cloud data storage, and swing analysis via the Bast Motion iOS App.

This annual subscription provides our staff with valuable information about our own players, our opponents, and potential future transfers out of the portal.

From building pitch calls to offensive plays, to setting defensive shifts for hitters, everything is one touch away.
This technology is critical with more and more teams implementing video breakdowns into their scouting reports, leading to an increase in sign-stealing incidents across all levels.
Our annual subscription includes five wearable player devices and one dugout coach tablet. In the future we would like to add more!

While the technology we use helps create each individual player's Developmental Plan, the tools and equipment our players use on a daily basis ensures that their plan turns into their reality.
This requires the annual replenishing of daily used tools, along with the upgrade of some equipment.
Your support allows us to provide our players with new items like Plyo Balls, J-Bands, Water Bags, Smash Factor Balls, Practice Balls, Core Velocity Belts, and more!

Competing on a national level requires long road trips and multiple nights in a hotel early in the season against talented ranked opponents.
Your support allows our program to make these trips on an annual basis!
This has become more and more important with the instillation of the new computer-based NCAA Power Index (NPI) Ranking System, used to select all at-large NCAA Regional tournament teams.
These annual trips hopefully lead to a stronger NPI ranking at the end of the season, but also an help create an elevated player experience!

The NEXT MAJOR ADDITION to our ELITE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM would be a multi-camera video recording system. Currently we only have one permanent camera capable of recording games or practices.
AWRE AIR is a multi-camera HD system that captures all Games, Practices, & Training Sessions. AWRE's software creates play by play highlights from every AIR angle in real time.
Powered by 6 or More Installed HD Cameras with ZERO daily setup and ZERO unnecessary maintenance. Simply schedule a game, practice, training session, or tournament and capture all the action automatically.
Several programs inside our conference already have this platform, and adding this to our tool belt will keep us at the forefront of player development on the national stage.

Admittedly, adding a TrackMan Stadium Unit is a bit of a wish list item right now, but something that our coaching staff is starting to plan for moving forward!
The TrackMan V3 Stadium Unit helps Track In-Game Data for Batters (exit speed, spin rate, launch i.e.), Pitchers (release, flight, strike zone, i.e.), and will soon be able to Analyze Fielder Performance.
Technologies like this can be a real game changer in developing our players via in-game data (something we currently do not have), and would continue to separate our program from almost all other programs across the nation.

We have been fortunate to add two new uniform combinations to our collection these past two seasons, thanks to two very generous donations from families inside our program.
These new threads have added to our overall player experience and enjoyment, and our players have been fired up to wear these new uniforms the past two seasons.
We are now looking to replace our aging road grey uniforms in the next year or two if possible.

When people ask why our program has been so successful, the answer is simple...
Our secret is our players and the work they dedicate to their game on a daily basis.
The hours our hitters spend in the cages hitting off our pitching machines is a key ingratiate to their success, and we are in need of replacing and upgrading our current Hack Attack Pitching Machines. Currently, we are hoping to replace an old Junior Hack and add a new I-Hack Attack.

No matter the weather conditions, Wake Field House provides our players with an amazing space to work and train every single day.
We are constantly looking to upgrade the equipment our players have access to inside that space to help them develop to their full potential.
The addition of another Indoor Turf Pro Mound would help our pitching staff train and develop at an elite level daily, whether it be through Bullpens, Med Ball Drills, or Water Bag Training.
