Since the fall of 2008, The John P. Seamster ’92 Memorial Golf Tournament has been held as a special occasion to remember and celebrate John’s life, as well as raise support for the Lynchburg baseball program – a sport he dearly loved and played while a student at Lynchburg.

This year the Baseball program is hosting The 18th Annual John P. Seamster ’92 Memorial Golf Tournament at the London Downs Golf Club ( 1614 New London Rd, Forest, VA 24551 ) on Friday , October 17, 2025.

This golf tournament is a staple for our program as we continue its growth through your generosity and support.  Most importantly, this day is about remembering one of our own, John Seamster, and the life he lived.  The program is honored to continue this great tradition.  John’s life and passion for the sport we all love is the backbone of Lynchburg Baseball and what we work so hard for every day.  Thanks to John’s family for allowing us to share his memory.
