LWR has three internship cohorts: Summer, Fall, and Spring. Each internship is 12 weeks in length, we accommodate for school breaks during the Fall and Spring. Interns will have flexibility in schedule, but are expected to complete an internship project and present on the project at the conclusion of the internship. The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) places college and university students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for ten weeks during the summer.
NREIP gives academically talented college students, graduating seniors, and graduate students pursuing STEM careers the opportunity to learn about Naval research and technology while receiving first-class mentoring by top scientists and engineers.
NREIP is a competitive program with over 800 placements in 47 laboratories around the country in which many participants go on to careers within the DoN. Interns are selected based upon academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations, and career and research interests.

The Virginia Conservation Network (VCN) is offering a unique Fall 2023 fellowship for those interested in advancing Virginia's environmental initiatives. Fellows will work on high-impact projects, ranging from digital videography to compiling VCN's history as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Designed to diversify the environmental field, the program encourages applicants from underrepresented communities, including students and recent graduates of color, as well as those from unrelated academic backgrounds. Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) offers paid internships during the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. This gives students a chance to work in Washington, D.C. alongside its policy experts and across a range of different issue areas. Throughout the internship program, students get a chance to deeply engage with policy research, attend BPC and other local events, and witness policy development in the nation’s capital.

Position Title: Part-time Teller/Intern for On-Campus Branch at the University of Lynchburg

Seeking a student who would like the opportunity to run our student credit union on campus. We encourage underclassmen to apply, so they can continue in this position for more than one year. This is an excellent position for business, accounting, or finance majors who would like a paid internship for the school year. Our On-Campus Student Branch is open three days a week to serve students, faculty, and staff with basic banking transactions. The branch is mobile and currently in the Drysdale Student Center next to the Bookstore and near our 24-hour ATM.
Position Description
Act as a teller to conduct basic banking transactions for students, faculty, and staff members on-campus. The student will open and close the branch three days per week usually offering hours 1-5 or 2-5 pm. However, we will work with the selected student’s class schedule. If the student is an underclassman and lives locally, this position can include working in the summer, during the week and Saturdays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Job requires excellent oral and written communication skills, good with basic math and cash handling. Must have the ability to make decisions, work with others harmoniously and with good results, and work independently at the school branch.
Additional duties and responsibilities will be applicable if the student also works in our full-service branches.
