Hi! I am your school counselor, Mrs. Stanton!
My family and I moved last summer to Monroe, NH where my husband grew up. I have two daughters - Norah (June 2019) and Layla (June 2022) who keep us very busy, active, smiling, and giggling. My partner Kevin and I love the outdoors - we like to ride our bikes, ski, hike and do as much as we can outside with our little ladies.
I grew up in Massachusetts, went to college in North Carolina and shortly after, found myself in New Hampshire working at an outdoor education center. After six years of working with students outdoors, I was curious about what connecting and learning indoors could be like. I started on my path of learning about becoming a school counselor. I studied at Plymouth State earning my Masters in Education in their school counseling program and started working at the Lyme School in the fall of 2018.
I LOVE working at the Lyme School! The students are the kindest, most thoughtful, and most FUN kiddos around. I appreciate the open communication and support from our families, and the hard work, compassion, and collaborative spirit of our amazing staff. I feel very fortunate to work here!
If you are new to school/Lyme - I look forward to meeting your family and working with your student(s)!
In supporting student wellness, we work as a team - the school counselor, nurse, student success coordinator (Miss Connie), principal, academic director, special education team, classroom teachers and educational assistants work together to ensure that all students are getting what they need to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally. We are all so glad you are here!
Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Be sure to check out our bi-weekly newsletters to see what's going on during Stanton Time (Social Emotional Learning Time) in classes throughout the year :-) We are looking forward to a great year of learning, playing, and growing with your students!
With Gusto,
Mrs. Stanton
