Transferring files FROM YOUR PI to your computer (using Filezilla)
Make sure you have Filezilla installed on your laptop.
2. Open Filezilla
3. Enter the settings in these fields as shown below:
Host: sftp://HOSTNAME Username: Lick Password: Wilmerding Port: (blank)
4. Then press Quickconnect.
5. You can navigate the REMOTE SITE, and two-finger click (right-click) on any file to download it to your laptop.
Transferring files FROM YOUR COMPUTER to your pi (using Filezilla)
Make sure you have Filezilla installed on your laptop.
2. Open Filezilla
3. Enter the settings in these fields as shown below:
Host: sftp://HOSTNAME Username: Lick Password: Wilmerding Port: (blank)
4. Then press Quickconnect.
5. Navigate the LOCAL SITE into the Users folder to find things like your Desktop, Documents, Downloads and other folders.
5. You can navigate the LOCAL SITE, and two-finger click (right-click) on any file to upload it to your pi.
Important Note! Filezilla will not let you transfer a file directly into a folder that is a GITHUB repository. For us that's the Raspberry Pi folder.
