What is the command line?  The command line, also known as the terminal or command prompt, is a text-based interface on your computer that allows you to interact with the operating system and run various commands to perform tasks or manage your computer. It's a powerful tool that can be a bit intimidating for beginners, but it becomes more comfortable with practice.

Accessing the Command Line:

• • Windows: users can use gitbash

  • macOS: You can open the Terminal application from the "Utilities" folder within the "Applications" folder.

  • Linux: You can open the terminal by searching for "Terminal" or using keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+Alt+T (Ubuntu).
