Director and Staff Bios

Mr. Pracher has been teaching music in one way or another since 2001. Starting as a music coach for his alma mater Van Nuys High School, he was most recently the music director at Simi Valley High School from 2012 to 2018. The Simi Valley Music Department consisted of the string orchestra, concert band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, jazz combo, marching band, winterguard, chamber ensembles, and winter drumline. He studied trumpet performance at UCLA with Jen Lindemann and Calvin Price and is currently pursuing his Masters in Music Education at the American Band College with Central Washington University in Ashland, Oregon. When not teaching or making music, Mr. Pracher can be found playing with his dog Clara or mountain biking in the amazing wealth of trails around beautiful Southern California.
