Before coming to Chaparral I was a high school librarian at Calabasas High School for eight years. Prior to that I taught in the Conejo Valley and was a school librarian in Burlingame. I grew up in Thousand Oaks, graduating from Westlake High School. I've lived all over California and for a few years in Europe, before coming back home to Southern California. I received my bachelors degree from San Diego State University, my teaching credentials from Cal Lutheran University and I received my masters degree from UCLA. When I'm not at school, I love swimming, reading, hiking, tide-pooling, collecting rocks and watching my husband cook. My husband Eric is a high school teacher and my son is a graduate of University of Colorado in Boulder and journalist.

Chaparral is an amazing school. I feel fortunate to work with my fantastic team and to be a part of the CUBS community.
