VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ( Links are ready to sign-up!)

We love having parents volunteers in our class throughout the year.  There are various opportunities for involvement such as coming in to class as a Mystery Reader,  volunteering as our cooking helper during discovery time, helping us during library time, being our class room parent, helping with special events or coming in to share a special talent or family celebration with the class.  Volunteers must have their TB assessment completed and a signed confidentiality agreement. All volunteers must check in at the front office prior to their volunteer time.

Mystery Reader

Please choose one Mystery Reader day per family until all families have had a chance to participate.  It will then be open for families to come and read again.  Thank you!

Here’s how it works:

• You select a picture book of your choice. If you need suggestions, please contact me.

• You complete 3 clues and send them to me via email prior to your selected Mystery Reader day.

• Your identity is kept a secret (please don’t “spill the beans!”)! Prior to your arrival I do give students your clues and have them predict who they think the Mystery Reader is.

• Once the clues are read and predictions are made, you walk into the classroom to everyone's surprise and read your selected book.

• Our Mystery Reader Day is held on various Fridays throughout the year from 1:00pm to 1:15pm.

• Please report to the main office to check in by 1:00 and then walk to the classroom.

• All volunteers must provide a TB clearance through the YB health office  and sign a confidentiality agreement prior to volunteering in the classroom.

We would love to have parents join us and help with our cooking experiences each Friday from 8:25-9:25.
