Mrs. Writer

Welcome: 

I am very excited to get to know you all this coming school year.  This will be my 3rd year teaching at A.E. Wright Middle School, but I am a veteran teacher!  I have been teaching for the past 22 years (mostly in Torrance, CA).  I began as a 5th grade teacher, then started teaching middle school math in 2015. 

I received my bachelors degree and teaching credentials from Cal State University Long Beach, and my Masters from Azusa Pacific University. I love learning and am constantly looking for new ideas and methods to bring to my classroom.  

As for me, personally.... I love hiking, swimming, baking, and spending time with my family and friends.  Animals are a big part of my life, and I spend a lot of time with my two dogs, two cats, and my bird.  (we currently have a tarantula in our little zoo also).

I strongly believe in a growth mindset, and hope that all of my students will embrace that journey with me this year (and continue for years to come).
