MA syllabus 2022-23 (2).pdf

Classroom Standards and Expectations

*Be Respectful: Respect and be courteous to all students and faculty. Listen attentively to all instruction and refrain from talking without permission. Keep the classroom clean and neat.

*Be Prepared: Bring all materials to class in order to be successful.

*Be On Time: Students should be in their seats when the bell rings working on their daily assignments.

*Missing class on test days is highly frowned upon. Students will be expected to take a make-up exam when they return to class. Make-up exams may be different in form and content but will assess the same material. Students who miss exit tickets and/or quizzes may not be entitled to make-up exams as these exams are often graded in class as part of a complete learning experience. Chapter test grades may be used to substitute grades from missed exit tickets and/or quizzes.

I am committed to the education and well-being of all students. Please see me immediately if you find yourself in need of additional help. Please make an effort to email me if possible if you are absent and always check google classroom for notes, assignments, etc.

I am looking forward to a great year. You can email me at acamacho@lvusd.org.

Calculators

Scientific calculators, graphing calculators and/or online graphing programs be used in this course. Multi-view, natural view, math view, etc. scientific calculators may not be used on some exams. I have calculators student may borrow while in class.

Video Notes

As a way of utilizing technology and may be used to accommodating the different learning styles and speeds at which students work, students may be required to watch videos and complete notes at home. This provides more time in class for practice and specific questions.

This link will provide interactive examples and videos.

This link provides access to the solutions to the odd numbered problems and a chat platform with an online tutor. You will need to look at a similar edition. I have suggested the 4th edition.

Check google classroom DAILY for notes, videos, assignments, important announcements, etc.
