Ceramics I

Students adventure into 3-D art and discover the world of ceramics. Our curriculum emphasizes the fundamentals of handbuilding through a variety of projects including pinch pots, coil building and slab building. Ceramics I aims to connect student interests and backgrounds with the history of ceramics as well as develop a deeper appreciation of the artistic process and it's aims.

Students will develop skills such as drawing, problem solving, planning and execution. Ceramics I promotes a greater understanding the elements of art, the principles of design and the creative process.
