Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty was one of the main gods/goddesses of Mount Olympus in ancient Greece. She was married to Hephaestus, as stated in the article; "Greek Mythology: Aphrodite", Zeus was "Afraid that a great battle would break out over her," and in spite of that "He arranged a marriage between her and the god, Hephaestus," (Ducksters). In the arts, she is usually depicted with an apple or a swan, as those are her symbols. She is also immortal and very powerful whenever conflict is associated with relationships.
